What makes Gordon Head special?
Gordon Head is a vibrant, family community with fantastic schools, green spaces, and large properties. Sitting in between Mt Douglas, the Haro Strait, and the University of Victoria, it has always been a fantastic place to enjoy all that Victoria has to offer. What was once farms and strawberry fields in the 1940’s exploded in the 1970’s to form a strong residential hub in East Saanich.
Towering fir trees rising high above some of Victoria’s quietest beach parks. From Mt Douglas Park all the way to Glencoe Cove this is one of the best places in Victoria to explore the coastline and retreat to a peaceful residential neighbourhood.
The area now boasts 27 public parks, the largest being the massive 450 acres surrounding Mt Douglas. It’s a great place to enjoy time spent in West Coast fresh air. Outdoor enthusiasts welcome!
Within 15 minutes you can be immersed in nightlife and restaurants in Downtown Victoria. But here in Gordon Head the green space drowns out the city offering peace and harmony. There is very little density in Gordon Head and detached homes dominate the roadways.

Through the course of the COVID-19 Pandemic, prices in Gordon Head have seen some of the greatest rates of change in all of East Saanich. In the last 3 years the Benchmark Price of a detached home in Gordon Head has risen by 55.2%. This price growth has outperformed East Saanich as a whole that has seen the benchmark price rise by 52% over the same period.
