RECENT HISTORY

Gordon Head has predominantly been characterized by the construction boom and subdivisions of the 1970’s. Today, similar strides are being taken towards newer construction, custom homes, increased density and  subdivision.

Despite dips in many of the core nieghbourhoods in Victoria, Gordon Head has maintained strong pricing indicators in both average and median price point. In 2019 the average sale price for a single family home was $1,039,540.  In 2015 the average sale price was $726,473. Nevertheless, demand has slipped slightly as average days on market jumped from 19 in 2017, to 39 in 2019.
